    About JKPSC KAS 2025

    Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission released the JKPSC CCE notification 2025 on August 22, 2025 on the official website, jkpsc.nic.in. The JKPSC CCE 2025 application form was released on August 25, 2025. The JKPSC KAS application form last date is September 24, 2025. The JKPSC CCE prelims exam 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on November 30, 2025. A total of 80 JKPSC KAS 2025 vacancies have been announced. 

    The selection process of JKPSC KAS involved two stages – preliminary and main examination. To appear in the JKPSC KAS examination, candidates have to be between 21 to 32 years of age. The marks obtained in the JKPSC KAS preliminary examination will be calculated for shortlisting of the candidates for the main examination. However, candidates have to secure equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks to appear in the JKPSC main examination. Eligible general category candidates can appear for JKPSC KAS six times while all other reserved category candidates can attempt nine times.

    Prelims

    The JKPSC KAS Prelims eligibility criteria define a candidate eligible if he/ she is a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir and is aged between 21-32 years. Relaxation in upper age limit has been provided by the commission to candidates of certain categories. Moreover, candidates must possess a Bachelors degree (of any stream) of a recognised university. However, those whose results are awaiting can also appear for the prelims of JKPSC KAS.

    The commission activated the JKPSC CCE application form link on August 25, 2025 on the official website. The JKPSC CCE application form last date 2025 is September 24, 2025. Candidates who will fulfill the eligibility criteria for the exam can fill the prelims application form of JKPSC CCE.

    The form is available in online mode and candidates have to complete the registration process, fill in their personal information, upload the required documents and pay the requisite application form. The application fee for the General category is Rs. 1200 and the reserved categories have to pay Rs.700.

    Note: The application form of JKPSC CCE is released separately for the Prelims and Mains exam. 

    Prelims

    JKPSC releases the application forms of JKPSC KAS Prelims in online mode. JKPSC aspirants are required to log in their accounts or register and create a new account. After filling in important information like personal and contact details, educational qualification and service details, candidates will have to upload their documents, recent photograph and signature. 

    Size of the photograph and signature must be between 10 KB- 20 KB and jpg or jpeg format. It must be noted that once the JKPSC KAS Prelims application form is submitted, it cannot be edited. Hard copy of the JKPSC KAS Prelims application form (having fee payment details) along with other necessary documents must be submitted in the office of the Commission at Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar Jammu/ Solina Srinagar.

    JKPSC KAS exam is conducted in different stages - Prelims and Main Examination. Candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for mains exam. With the help of JKPSC KAS exam pattern, candidates will be able to know the type and nature of questions, total time allotted, marking scheme, different sections or sectional division of the exam etc.

    Prelims

    JKPSC KAS Prelims will comprise of two papers, namely- General Studies I and General Studies II. Both papers will consist of multiple choice questions having 4 answer choices. Every correct answer rewards one mark while every incorrect answer deducts 0.33 mark. A blank answer will neither fetch nor deduct any marks. 

    If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct. Maximum marks to be scored in each paper is 200. To qualify for appearing in JKPSC KAS Mains, candidates must score the minimum cutoff in General Studies I (will be announced by the commission) and at least 33% in General Studies II.

    The JKPSC KAS admit card 2925 will be released in online mode for all the three stages. Candidates can download the JKPSC KAS admit card by using the required credentials in the login window. JKPSC KAS admit card will have details like exam timing, exam centres, name, gender, date of birth etc. In case of any discrepancy in the JKPSC KAS admit card, candidates must immediately contact the exam conducting authority and get the necessary changes done in it.

    JKPSC KAS 2025 result is declared separately for all the stages in online mode. Candidates are required to score the minimum qualifying marks in order to get shortlisted for the next stage of selection procedure. The final JKPSC KAS result is prepared by on the basis of the marks obtained in the mains exam and interview.

    The cut off of JKPSC KAS is the minimum qualifying marks that the candidates are required to obtain to get selected for the next stage. JKPSC KAS cutoff is released for prelims, mains exam and final cutoff. 

    The JKPSC KAS cutoff of final merit list is prepared on the basis of mains and personality test. JKPSC KAS cutoff for final merit list will be calculated out of 2000 marks.
