    UPTET 2026 eligibility criteria - Age Limit

    The age limit for UPTET 2026 exam is 18-35 years. There is upper age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The minimum age limit depends upon the age on which candidate's have attained the educational qualification.

    Eligibility Criteria of UPTET 2026 - Primary Teachers (Paper 1)

    Candidates with domicile of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to appear for UPTET 2026. The candidates must have qualified Class 12th in Uttar Pradesh. As per required academic qualification for UPTET 2026, candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 50% of marks. They must have passed D.Ed after Class 12th with a minimum of 45% of marks and those with B.EI.Ed are also eligible for the Paper I exam.

    Candidates who have passed B.Ed with a minimum of 50% of marks are also eligible to apply for UPTET. Candidates who are pursuing and are in the final-year of D.Ed or B.Ed or B.El.Ed course are also eligible. Those who have completed the Master’s degree and B.Ed/ D.Ed/ B.EI.Ed are also eligible to apply for the UPTET exam 2026.

    UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2026 - Upper Primary Teacher (Paper II)

    Candidates with domicile of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to appear for UPTET 2026 Paper II exam. They must have passed their Class 10+2 in Uttar Pradesh. As far as the academic qualification is concerned, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Tech) with a minimum of 50% of marks. The candidates must have passed B.Ed after Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% of marks to apply for UPTET 2026. Aspirants with Master’s degree along with B.Ed are also eligible to apply for UPTET Paper II.
