The UGC NET cut off 2024-25 will be released in online mode at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. NTA will release the UGC NET 2025 cut off along with the result. The UGC NET cut off will be released separately for JRF and Assistant Professor. The National Testing Agency determines the minimum UGC NET qualifying mark that a candidate needs to score in order to pass the exam. Candidates have to secure the qualifying marks prescribed by the National Testing Agency in both papers of UGC NET exam 2025 to get shortlisted for JRF or Assistant Professorship. To calculate the UGC NET 2025 cut off, the National Testing Agency follows the following steps. The detailed procedure for the calculation of cut off marks of UGC NET 2025 is shared below:
Step 1: Total number of qualified candidates in the exam shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both papers of the exam.
Step 2: Total number of slots allocated to candidates belonging to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.
Step 3: Minimum marks required by candidates to score to be considered for Junior Research Fellow and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor are mentioned in the table given below:

Step 4: Qualifying factors for candidates who qualify in UGC NET will be based on their category for each subject. The aggregate percentage secured by candidates in both papers corresponding to the number of slots will determine the qualifying cut-off.
Step 5: Total number of slots available for awarding Junior Research Fellows is allocated among different categories as per reservation policy.
Those candidates will qualify in the exam who score the minimum UGC NET 2025 cut off. These cut off marks must be apart from scoring the minimum qualifying marks of the UGC NET exam. The National Testing Agency releases the category wise UGC NET cut off 2025 in PDF format for each subject for which the candidates have appeared.
According to the UGC NET 2025 cut off, the National Testing Agency (NTA) shortlists 6% of candidates in each subject to prepare a merit list for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) prepares a separate merit list for candidates who have qualified for the UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). This will be calculated after considering their eligibility in terms of age.

If you have mistakenly clicked on the wrong gender, you need not to be worried. The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts UGC-NET Exam twice a year- June and December cycle and always open a correction window for those candidates who have filled any of their details incorrectly. This correction window will give you a chance to correct your mistakes in the application form. But, it is very important to know that this correction window may be or may not be opened for a longer period of time. like for a week or so.

Yes, candidate who has completed their Master's from IGNOU can apply for UGC-NET. The eligibility criteria of appearing in UGC-NET Exam is to score an equivalent or more than 55% in their Master's CGPA.
UGC-NET Exam happens twice a year. The June cycle has been re-scheduled. The second cycle will take place in the month of December.
