    About UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam 2026

    The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC Combined Geo Scientist 2026 notification on September 3, 2025. Candidates can submit the UPSC Combined Geo Scientist application form 2026 from September 3 to 23, 2025, on the official website at upsc.gov.in. According to the UPSC Combined Geo Scientist 2026 exam dates, the prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 8, 2026. The UPSC Combined Geo Scientist main exam is going to be held on 20 and 21 June, 2026. 

    Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit the UPSC Combined Geo Scientist 2026 application form before the deadline. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the combined Geo-Scientists and Geologists exam every year for the recruitment of Group A Geologist, Chemist, Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist - B) and Geophysicist. In order to appear for the UPSC Geo- Scientists/Geologists exam, candidates must be 21 to 35 years of age. The UPSC Geo-Scientists and Geologists exams are conducted on different dates.     UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam Union Public Service Commission Combined Geo Scientist/Geologists Exam (session 2026)

    The UPSC combined Geo-Scientists result 2026 will be released at upsc.gov.in. The conducting authorities release results separately for prelims and mains. The result is available in PDF format with the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Candidates who qualify the written exam are eligible to appear for the personality test/interview. The final result of qualified candidates will be released by UPSC on the basis of marks obtained in the written exam and interview.

    The Union Public Service Commission will release the UPSC combined Geo-Scientists 2026 admit card on the official website, at upsc.gov.in. To download the admit card online, candidates have to enter their registration ID and password/date of birth. The admit card contains details like name, date of birth, venue and exam centre, exam timing etc. 

    Candidates have to carry at least one photo - identity proof along with the admit card. The candidates who do not receive the admit card will have inform commission three weeks before the commencement of the written exam. The admit card for personality test/ interview will be only issued to the candidates who qualify the written exam.

    The cutoff of written exam and final will be released by UPSC. Candidates will have to score above or equal to the cutoff released by UPSC.  UPSC combined Geo-Scientists and Geologists will be released separately posts wise and category wise. The written exam cutoff of UPSC combined Geo-Scientists and Geologists will be calculated out of 700 marks whereas the final cutoff of the qualified candidates will be calculated out of 900 marks.
