    Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) exam every year. The AFCAT exam is the national level examination. The exam authority conducts the AFCAT exam twice a year. Around 1.5 to 2 lakhs candidates appear for the AFCAT exam each session. Out of this nearly 200 men and 140 women are selected by the IAF. About 350 to 450 AFCAT vacancies are announced separately for each session of the AFCAT exam.

    IAF announces the AFCAT 2024 result in online mode. Candidates will be able to check the result at candidates login at afcat.cdac.in. Those who qualify in the first stage will be eligible to appear in the next stage. The steps to check the AFCAT result status are as follows.

    • Open the AFCAT official website - afcat.cdac.in.

    • Click the AFCAT candidate’s login section

    • Enter the login credentials such as email ID and Password and Captcha

    • Click the AFCAT merit list

    • AFCAT result and the scorecard will appear on the window.

    AFCAT Salary

    Candidates who qualify in the AFCAT exam will be paid the AFCAT salary. The salary is paid under the 7th pay commission. As per the 7th pay commission, the AFCAT salary range is from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500. Initially candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 56,100 per month for a training period of one year.

    Yes, you will be eligible to appear for the AFCAT 2 2026 exam. However, you will only be eligible to appear for the Ground Duty and not the Flying Branch, as you are past the age limit for the flying branch requirements.

    For Flying Branch through AFCAT , B.Tech is not compulsory. You can apply with a BSc degree in Physics & Maths in 12th, or any graduation degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
