    About NESLET 2026

    SLET commission, Assam released the NESLET notification 2026 on November 20, 2025 on the official website, sletneonline.co.in. The NESLET 2026 application form has been released on November 21, 2025. Candidates can submit the NESLET application form until January 5, 2026. The SLET 2026 exam is shceduled to be conducted on March 15, 2026. 

    State Eligibility Test (SET), formerly known as North East State Level Eligibility Test (NESLET) is conducted by SLET Commission, Assam in offline mode for the recruitment of Assistant Lecturers at institutes/colleges/universities in the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Tripura. SET is a combined eligibility examination, conducted for 30 subjects for the 7 northeastern states. There is no age limit and capping to appear in SET. Candidates of any age group and as many times as they want can take SET. The exam consists of two papers – Paper I and II which need to be completed by the test takers in 1 and 2 hours respectively. Pass certificates to the qualified candidates are issued 30 days after the result announcement.
